We have long offered built-in AI knowledge base creation (known as SitePal AIMC) \u2013 and we are proud to have recognized the value and practical potential of AI so early on (more than 15 years ago…)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time we also recognize there are many AI solutions out there, using different technologies, and designed for different audiences and use cases. There IS ONE THING they all share though: they can all benefit from an animated speaking avatar as their (user-inter) Face. After all \u2013 why communicate via text when you can do so by speaking? An idea whose time has come? We think so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So we\u2019ve gone ahead and done two things:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. We\u2019ve implemented 3rd<\/sup> party AI integration<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. We\u2019ve demonstrated how to connect with the Web Speech API to enable speech input.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Let\u2019s go over these one by one and explain exactly what we mean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Part I – 3rd<\/sup> Party AI Integration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Our customers have been integrating SitePal characters with their 3rd<\/sup> party AI for years, so what\u2019s changed? What\u2019s new now is that we\u2019ve gone ahead and made it much simpler to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Instead of implementing API connectivity from your web page to two services \u2013 SitePal & your AI provider \u2013 the AI programming interface is now taken care of by us. All you need to do is setup your 3rd<\/sup> Party API key in your SitePal account, and from that moment on, your SitePal character is connected! To implement you still need to use the SitePal API \u2013 but that\u2019s all you need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The first 3rd<\/sup> party AI solution to be integrated is Pandorabots \u2013 long a favorite of ours. We put together a technical example to demonstrate how it\u2019s done.
